We met with the most northern folk of Baltics at the beginning of December, during the annual training camp in Äkäslompolo, Finland. As already a tradition, the team stayed there for two weeks to build up a good foundation for the upcoming winter. To get an insight into the soul of the Estonian Ski-O Team, we had a chat with the athletes.

This season, Swedish ski-orienteering introduced a new concept for national ski-orienteering races: Swedish Cup, a national circuit of ski-orienteering competitions, consisting of 13 individual races.

Swiss national ski-o team decided to organize selection races for all athletes who are applying for international competitions. To take part in the selection races, all athletes had to provide a negative PCR test no older than 72h.

What is ski-orienteering
Ski-orienteering is an endurance winter sport combining navigation and cross-country skiing across a rough terrain using prepared cross-country ski tracks. A ski orienteer combines high physical endurance and strength, excellent technical skiing skills and the ability to choose the best routes.
